Wow. What an amazing day. I’ve had the chance to not only photograph an amazing day, but also hang out on the beach with the wonderful families and friends. The wedding was amazing, the place is amazing, and the Angie and Kevin are incredible! They pulled off the very difficult…wow!
The destination was Flamingo Bay, Costa Rica– and the beauty of every moment was undeniable. What a great pleasure to photograph such a wedding in such a place!

THE SHOE

The process of changing from normal everyday shoes to the ‘fancies’ –the shoes the bride will walk down the isle in. Sometimes it’s more casual flops, sometimes it’s very fancy heels. Either way it represents what is often the final detail…the final step before the final steps to the ceremony.
I always look for these images, and photograph the shoes, the process…i like it. Especially since in NC it’s usually from flops.

I’m home for the holidays, back in Michigan where it’s snowy and cold. But very refreshing…I think I’ll go snowboarding this afternoon! The trip was rather difficult. It took almost 24 hours for me to make it from Wilmington to Grand Rapids, MI– and I flew!? That does not make sense, the drive is only 14-15 hours. One word explains it all: O’Hare. The most delay stricken airport in the country. The plane left Charlotte, NC late and we landed late…and then sat on the runway until really late. By then all flights (even the deleayed ones) had already left… so I was stuck in the airport. There were not even any hotel rooms available…so it was the cushy terminal C. Oh well, could have been worse.
Nice to be home with family!
